Comics are not just about super heroes in colorful outfits. Over time, they have commented significantly on world events and politics. From a propaganda tool during the Second World War to modern analyses of government spying and social justice, comic books have been an impactful medium, both reflecting and influencing political views.

Through engaging storylines and compelling characters, comics provide a unique perspective from which complex political themes and social issues can be discussed. This article examines how comic books both mirror and mold political viewpoints with examples drawn from popular comics showing the strong link between politics and this genre.
